our STORY
Creek View Grill is a cozy, all-day neighborhood spot created by Maritza Juan de Dios, the culmination of more than two decades of sacrifice, hard work, and grit.
Originally from Peru, Maritza came to the U.S. determined to build a better life for her children and family, arriving with little more than a language barrier and a clear goal. After starting out in the tiny high Rockies town of Walden, Colorado, she spent years working multiple jobs from early mornings through late nights before moving to the Yampa Valley and continuing that relentless
pace in Steamboat Springs and Hayden. Creek View Grill is the dream that came out of that grind: an unpretentious, family-friendly diner serving American comfort food with Mexican-inspired favorites, from big burgers and sandwiches to home-cooked daily specials. In a space once known for short-lived concepts, it has become a true community gathering place where Maritza now works alongside her family and a tight-knit team that shares her love for the Yampa Valley.
